Date Rape Drugs & DUI

Unfortunately, so-called “date rape” drugs have been in the news a lot lately. Stories involving these types of sexual assaults have been all over newspapers, magazines, T.V. and cable news programs. Many of the date rape drugs have effects that mimic the effects of alcohol. So it is certainly possible to get a DUI after having taken one of these drugs. Drugs like Rohypnol, GHB and Ketamine have effects that one can easily assume were from drinking. Relaxation, drowsiness, dizziness and distorted perceptions are all associated with these drugs. And drinking alcohol increases the effects of the drugs, making them that much more potent and dangerous.

What our clients say...

“I just wanted to write to say that I feel so lucky to have chosen the Sherman Law Group as my attorneys. I was going through such a very difficult legal situation. It was emotionally charged and draining. But Valerie Sherman and Bill Sherman were so supportive, hardworking and helpful. I loved that the firm was always updating me and letting me know what was going on in my case. You always returned my calls and emails. Thank you all for making it work out great for me.”
