Question: My husband says that if I go through with a divorce I won't get any money because he said I'll never find where his money is. And I don't know where the money is because he has different bank accounts and some of them are overseas. I know he keeps a lot of money in the accounts because I've seen letters to the banks where he has the money. I didn't save any of them though.
He doesn't want me getting a divorce because he thinks he can control me. He tells me what to eat, what to wear and he tells me what friends I can and can't have. He won't allow me to have any male friends. He made me quit my job because too many men worked there and he thought I'd start dating one of them.
But I caught him having an affair a few years ago because I saw his Facebook and his email. He was seeing another woman, which was obvious from the pictures and nudity. And after he said he'd never do it again I checked and saw that he was on Ashley Madison looking for a girl.
We've been married for over 25 years and just about all the money he's made has been in the past 10 years with his business. Can he hide all that money form me? What can I do?

Answer: If you proceed with the divorce, Georgia law provides that he will have to fully disclose all of his financial assets. If they are not disclosed, then a subpoena can be issued to compel him to do so. Ultimately, all of his financial data must be provided to you. If it is not, then a judge can sanction him.
