*A Word of Warning about your Georgia Driver's License
You have only 10 days from the date of arrest to request a hearing on your driver's license with the Georgia Department of Driver Services. If you fail to request a hearing in a timely manner, your license may be suspended for one year, without the ability to get a permit of any type to drive. Hearings for driver's licenses are conducted by the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings, also known as OSAH.
It is important that you hire legal representation to challenge the driver's license suspension. Even if you have an out-of-state driver's license, a Georgia DUI can suspend your license for a year because the other state will honor the Georgia suspension.
