The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption helps children in foster care get adopted.  Dave Thomas was adopted himself and was a major force in bringing foster care and adoption issues into public view.  Being adoption attorneys we can attest to the fact that the Foundation is providing a wonderful service.  There are over 100,000 children in foster care.  Wendy's and the Foundation have helped in over 4,000 adoptions.

The company seems fully behind the effort and Wendy's is featuring commercials that highlight adoption.  In fact, Wendy Thomas, Dave Thomas' daughter, has done commercials promoting adoption.

Companies are often called-out for not being good corporate citizens.  Watch just about any news show or read almost any newspaper or magazine and you will find many examples of companies behaving badly, even illegally.

But here is a company that is doing good and backing a great cause.  As adoption lawyers we thought it was worthy of note and support.
